Benjamin Peters
Ben was born and raised in the Bay Area. When he isn’t working on some sort of building project, he spends his time hiking, skiing, or relaxing at the beach with his wife and two sons.
Ben earned his Bachelor’s degree from UCLA in mechanical engineering and spent his early professional years working on commercial steel projects and large-scale art installations. After deciding cubicle life wasn’t for him, Ben made a career change into construction. He honed his craft with several Bay Area builders working on ultra high-end homes. In 2001, Ben became a licensed general contractor and started his own company. He has been building fine homes ever since. Ben now spends most of his time on Peters Design-Build’s construction administration.
Ben’s aptitude for mechanical engineering, his lifelong appreciation of fine art, and his hands-on ethos, have found a perfect marriage in his work at Peters Design Build. He is a perfectionist, who takes pride in delivering an exquisite level of craftsmanship on every job.

A distance runner and triathlete, Michael is not afraid of stretching his horizons. His spare time is spent exploring off-the-beaten-path parts of the Bay Area and beyond. He also cooks and loves to experiment with new cuisines. He has taken home first prize at a chili cook-off and, more recently, a baking competition.

He started his career with Washington, D.C. firms, designing spiritual architecture, mixed-use developments, and high-rise hotel projects. Michael’s custom lighting design was displayed at the 2005 International Contemporary Furniture Fair in NYC, and has been published in Metropolis Magazine.
